PowerCan 200 takes 4th place in National GEKON Competition

More than 400 candidates from some of Poland’s largest power and engineering companies competed to fund development of their new technologies under GEKON financial sponsorship, with full Polish government support.  Good news for PowerCan clients

The production of the new PowerCan starts immediately

PowerCan200 was placed 4th in the GEKON Program and one of the 24 companies of 400 professional applicants who will receive sponsorship (by the National Center for Research and Development, NCBiR, and the National Fund for Environmental Protection, NFOS).

The PowerCan200 converts wood chip and forest waste into synthesis gas. The PowerCan powers a stationary MAN Gas Engine and Combined Heat and Power unit. Since PowerCan200 can produce energy locally on or off grid and given recent events in Ukraine it can yet demonstrate to be well timed and hugely successful in this region. Continue reading

As the Levino site produced nearly 1700 m³ of shale gas a day a permanent horizontal well is already planned for July 2014, it will mark the start for Poland’s shale industry and potentially bringing a new prosperity for the region

Poland’s Potential New Prosperity

One fracking operations typically consumes 5 million gallons of groundwater [approximately 19,000 Cubic Metres of Water]. As Diesel fuel consumption in Poland needs to be imported as much of one third of the wealth produced in Poland’s Shale Fields will be exported. Gassifier No.1

Small Gasification is a process which converts organic carbonaceous materials or biomass into carbon monoxidehydrogen and carbon dioxide. Generally gasification is reacted in a  controlled vacuum starved of oxygen and so that no combustion occurs.  At temperatures higher than 700°C, and without combustion in a controlled amount of oxygen syngas (from synthesis gas or synthetic gas) is created from the producer gas. The process is without a smoke stack and there are no emissions as the syngas conversion is produced in a vacuum. Syngas is an ideal fuel for CHP [Combined Heat and Power Units] derived from the gasification of renewable energy and a great way of reducing CO₂

 

The PowerCan® 200 2013-2016 Research and Development Program takes the PowerCan® 200 to the commercial mass production level,. PowerCan® 200 team will develop a global product an off the shelf energy solution with almost endless opportunities to make waste extinct locally, end landfill, reduce CO₂ and produce clean energy and one day even cleaner transport fuels. Dr. Albin Czernichowski On GlidArc Technology

Our Professor Albin Czernichowski, is a key member of the PowerCan® 200 team the inventor of the Gliding Arc [GlidArc] PowerCan® 200 Gas Reform Process. Albin is Polish he is a Professor with the University of Orleans, France, Professor Albin presented two papers on different aspects of GlidArc at the 239th National Meeting of the American Chemical Society (ACS) in San Francisco.
