New PowerCan Hand Over at the Polish Ship Yards

New PowerCan SOLIDEA Group PowerCan team have handed over the New PowerCan at the SOLIDEA RUMIA Gas Motorworks in the Gdansk Ship Yards in Poland.

The New PowerCan [right] seen here with the PowerCan 200 [left] is an Updraft Gasifier. “Whilst it comes as some surprise to the Industry Up draft Gasification provides more benefit to the development of the industry than Down draft Gasification” says SOLIDEA Groups Steve Walker. “Since we cured the tar problem with our GATO [GlidArc Tar Oxidizer] we needed to go a stage further and reduce the particulates. Since Updraft is more tolerant of lesser feedstock it was time to change

Gassifier No.1

Small Gasification is a process which converts organic carbonaceous materials or biomass into carbon monoxidehydrogen and carbon dioxide. Generally gasification is reacted in a  controlled vacuum starved of oxygen and so that no combustion occurs.  At temperatures higher than 700°C, and without combustion in a controlled amount of oxygen syngas (from synthesis gas or synthetic gas) is created from the producer gas. The process is without a smoke stack and there are no emissions as the syngas conversion is produced in a vacuum. Syngas is an ideal fuel for CHP [Combined Heat and Power Units] derived from the gasification of renewable energy and a great way of reducing CO₂

Dr. Albin Czernichowski On GlidArc Technology

Our Professor Albin Czernichowski, is a key member of the PowerCan® 200 team the inventor of the Gliding Arc [GlidArc] PowerCan® 200 Gas Reform Process. Albin is Polish he is a Professor with the University of Orleans, France, Professor Albin presented two papers on different aspects of GlidArc at the 239th National Meeting of the American Chemical Society (ACS) in San Francisco.

More Goodyear’s Ahead Of PowerCan® 200

PowerCan® 200 systems can be used to convert used tires into “Syngas” to produce electricity and heat, the gasification process is without emissions, there is no smoke, no VOC’s and no steam.

PowerCan® 200 + “The Poop Scoop In The Loop”

Solid wastes cause congestion in the Municipal sewage its the end of the life cycle for some systems; but small scale gasification systems like the PowerCan® 200 lend a helping hand. Solid wastes can be extracted in line upstream and at a local level. “This significantly reduces the impact on the water treatments system at the end of the line” says SOLIDEA’s Steve Walker “A containerized system is unobtrusive taking up no more space than a few parking places, it processes the extracted solid waste or sludge”.

The PowerCan® 200 system produces a bio-waste pellets in line. The pellets are then fed into the  PowerCan® 200 CHP unit to generate energy. CHP produces heat which is used for the sludge drying process. The electricity generated keeps the whole pellet production process operational 24 hours per day with most of the electrical energy produced by the CHP is sold to the local power grid as  renewable energy. SOLIDEA has developed a truly sustainable value added human waste to energy [H-WtE] system with the PowerCan® 200.  .
